He rectified this then attempted to use his stirrup. On reaching for then stirrup he accidentally grabbed his parachute deployment handle and pulled it, releasing the pins. He found the parachute would not deploy. He tried a second time pulling slightly rearward and again the parachute would not deploy. In both cases the rearward facing yellow retaining cable bent preventing release. On a third attempt the pilot pulled slightly forwards and the parachute deployed.	Injury Pilot: Unhurt

Pilot removed cord and finished the repack.	Injury Unknown

Pilot had to apply increasing amount of speed bar to penetrate and eventually full bar to avoid being blown back over ridge. Pilot then suffered asymmetric collapse and was unable to recover before hitting the ground.	Injury Pilot: Unhurt
