Held in harness by armpits, could not control the direction of the canopy accurately, this resulted in the pilot landing in a different field from the planned one. After performing several 180 degree turns the pilot lost height and finding himself too close to the cliff face was unable to turn away before impact.	Injury Pilot: Fractured and compressed vertebra 12t. (stable)

Appeared to have incorrectly set up equipmment possibly had the controls in the wrong hands. Following inflation the pilot lost control of the canopy and pendulumed into the ground.	Injury Pilot: Suspected bruised or compressed spine.
