Glider came up slightly asymmetrically. Pilot eventually moved under the wing, but failed to load the glider up with his body weight. Glider experienced a small frontal collapse on the edge of take off. Pilot fell off the front of launch. The glider did not fully recover before the pilot hit the road below. Pilot was pulled backwards by initial braking and glider stalled. Pilot walked away with slight bruising. Although reserve appeared in tact before take-off, pilot did not check pins.
