At 50m when pilot and passenger were getting into their seats, the risers became twisted resulting in the pilot losing control. They crashed heavily with the passenger sustaining severe injuries.

Pilot started engine of paramotor whilst supporting the frame. The canopy remained packed away. The engine revs were high pushing the unit forward. The pilot reacted by pushing out with his left hand which contacted the prop causing injury.

Left hand Index finger 50% of Tip severed, fingers 2 & 3 removed amputated to first joint. Little finger 3mm of tip removed
