During an early power launch the pilot released the power once airborne and then immediately flared the glider causing the right wing to stall and touch the ground, the glider rotaed about this wing and impacted the ground.

During flight a spring from the exhaust broke from its mounting and fell into the propellor which catapulted it into the sail causing a tear.

PHG pilot spotted a 2 ft diameter parachute floating down 30ft away from him during a cross country flight. A long tube was attached to the parachute, which the pilot believes was from a model rocket.

Serious head injuries, unconscious for several days. Possible brain injury. Right ulna fracture.
