Pilot took off and turned downwind which put him in the lee of a headland. Pilot had asymmetric collapse which turned the glider into the cliff. Pilot fell down cliff but was relatively uninjured.

While testing the air the pilot unknowingly became close enough to a naval helicopter to experience turbulence from the rotors. The situation was discussed at club level and later at a meeting with the local squadron.

Pilot was disturbed during rigging a number of times to help others. Forgot to attach inboard control wire. Pilot took off and realised he had no ability to turn left. Pilot attempted to land but lost all control and crashed doing approx 60mph.

Having failed to recover from a spin the risers twisted up and the pilot deployed his parachute. The parachute failed to open fully and the pilot hit the water hard enough to burst harness airbag. Possible issues with packing.
