Pilot was repacking square parachute at BFR and noticed just in time that the apex cord was still attached. Pilot removed cord and finished the repack.

Pilot took off in windy conditions and found the wind was stronger than expected and more off to the west than was ideal. Pilot had to apply increasing amount of speed bar to penetrate and eventually full bar to avoid being blown back over ridge. Pilot then suffered asymmetric collapse and was unable to recover before hitting the ground.

Having adjusted his approach to avoid another paraglider on the ground the pilot found he was heading for a second pilot on the ground. Pilot was unable to avoid the second pilot and crashed into him.

Line break at 20m resulted in glider diving forwards. This was not controlled by the pilot who swung under the glider, which appeared in a stalled state. Pilot landed heavily in a seated position.
