While preparing for a winch launch the pilot dislodged his parachute. The parachute deployed at 25m causing the launch to be stopped. Pilot landed under his parachute in a stable but firm landing.

After launching, pilot noticed glider had a right turn. Pilot checked but could not see any issues and carried on XC. Pilot also noticed glide was poor so checked again to see knots in brake lines at right tip. Pilot decided to land the knots came out immediately.

Nose cone became loose from top surface of glider causing the glider to fly erratically. Glider became gradually worse and pilot decided to land. On landing the pilot found the glider was impossible to slow and nosed in heavily.

On gliding to the landing field from altitude the pilot underestimated the strength of the valley wind. Pilot lost 900m in 4km in turbulent air resulting in landing in a flood defence clearing between trees. Wing tip caught on a tree causing pilot to turn into the trees.

While ridge soaring in light conditions pilot encountered sinking air and could not clear vegetation to make the landing area. Pilot landed in dense hawthorn/ bramble patch requiring rescue by the coastguard.

Pilot lost control of glider during forward inflation tow launch. Initial launch was off to the right and pilot was unable to fully centralise before becoming airborne. Glider then rotated and collapsed resulting in the pilot falling from approx 6m and landing heavily.
