Whilst practicing ground handling the student was dragged across a nearby canopy. The hooks in the students boots snagged on the lines of this canopy causing damage to the lines.

During a top to bottom flight the student encountered sinking air whilst performing a left turn. With insufficient height to correct this the student was instructed via radio to flare. He landed fast and did a judo roll.

Pilot launched into light wind and flew over a densley wooded part of the hill. In his attempt to remain in the lift band he inadvertently flew into a tree, his canopy getting caught in the branches.

Pilot launched into thermal lift. Almost immediately he turned back to take advantage of the lift. He misjudged his position within the thermal lift and flew into an area of sinking air above the hill causing him to lose 20ft and impact the hill.
