The pilot followed ridge to a position in which the ridge and wind direction were almost parallel. As he was unable to penetrate back upwind the pilot attempted to land on a small grassy area, turbulence led to a frontal collapse pilot impacted rocks.

During landing the canopys wing tip fell onto a pilot. The pilot then noticed a line trapped in the Brummel hook on the speed system. The line had been damaged by the hook. The diameter of the gap in the hooks was smaller than line diameter.

Pilot misjudged suitability of field for landing following a cross country flight, narrowly avoided power lines and an electric fence, and in the process caused the glider to spin 180 degrees resulting in the pilot landing heavily on his back.

Following a soaring flight the pilot flew downwind at 500ft agl to land at the car park. At 250ft the canopy suffered a major collapse. The pilot chose to throw her emergency parachute which opened immediately. She landed uninjured.
