Glider dived aggressively to horizon and suffered 75% asymmetric collapse. Pilot input most likely caused spin and riser twist leading to locked in spiral. Pilot deployed emergency parachute and landed unhurt.

Pilot discovered that glass fibre side slat had come out of position on harness and had interfered with speed bar line. This was not picked up during pre-flight check as line was still free moving. During subsequent flight the speed bar line cut half way through a load bearing strap. This was spotted on next pre-flight check.

Pilot was soaring close to trees and began to get blown back. Pilot decided to turn downwind but was caught in the turbulence behind the trees. Pilot lost control in turbulence and crashed but was uninjured.
