Five pilots were blown back over over a road to land in a field behind the site. the most extreme was over 300m back from the site. Pilots had been seen to not be penetrating wery much 30 mins earlier. There was a mix of wings flying from red-ribbon to EN D pilots.

Pilot was attempting to beach land in strong conditions due to increasing winds. Pilot was applying heavy brakes in order to descend but stalled one wing leading to a spin and a heavy landing.

Pilot had previously had heavy seated landing. Pilot walked towards glider unaware that his emergency parachute had fallen out. Pilot was lifted off the ground but descended gently.

Pilot initiated reverse launch using inner “A” risers. On inflation, glove & brake line became trapped in the riser. Pilot took off facing backwards, having removed hand from the glove. The trapped brake line caused substantial sideways travel, towards the hill.
Pilot managed to free the brake line by grabbing the glove with both hands and using full force to remove it, together with the brake line, from the riser.
