During check pilot noticed that the lines holding the pod closed and the emergency parachute in place had frayed. They had frayed to the extent that they would no longer pass through the ceramic loops with ease. A break to the line could render the parachute unusable. The harness had 7 flight hours.

Pilot whilst completing a 360 exited and re-entered a thermal. Upon re-entering the left wing tip lost pressure and a spin was induced, contributing factor was likely too much brake applied during the turn. Wing re-inflated, dived and the pilot regained control and slope landed.
