Pilot attempted to extend a cross country flight with the result that he had limited landing options. Landed in the rotor behind a tor, and was also blinded by the low sun.

Student pulled the bar in during take - off run but then didnt allow the glider to return to trim during flight. She continued to fly too fast and failed to round out during landing approach, this resulted in a heavy landing.

Using the s turn approach method, the pilot misjudged his position and ended up one third of the way down the field with too much height. He then hit some turbulence and was turned, the result being an impact with a telegraph pole.

Pilot attempting to land in an unfamiliar landing field. His downwind leg of the appraoch was too low which meant he had to make a steep/ tight turn into the field. As he made this turn the glider tip stalled and the pilot hit a bush.
