Visiting Pilots from Abroad

The BHPA welcomes pilots from abroad.

Visiting pilots who wish to fly in the UK must have their own third party indemnity cover. Please read the Guidance for Hang Glider & Paraglider Pilots Visiting the UK before flying in the UK.

Visitors should note that even if they take out temporary membership of the BHPA, the maximum third party cover in respect of the passenger if flying Tandem is only 25,000 GPB, and is restricted to flights in the UK only. Further information can be obtained from the BHPA's insurance Officer.
