During competition pilot noticed frequent asymmetric collapses on left side of the wing. Inspection of wing showed a rod was missing from leading edge upper surface on the left side of the wing. Pilot does not know what event caused the rod to be missing.

Pilot lost control of powered paraglider while attempting wingovers. Pilot fell into his wing but was able to deploy his parachute. Pilot landed in the sea but was saved by the coast guard.

Whilst performing a spiral dive into a bottom landing field, the pilot noticed first stages of a blackout. The pilot was able to exit the spiral dive before total loss of vision and recovered and landed safely. Contributing factors were dehydration and tiredness.
