Pilot noticed glider had left turn and no bar pressure while on winch tow. Released at 200m and managed to land safely. Suspects curled up mylar inside leading edge due to fishing for broken batten ends.

On inspecting glider after heavy landing, pilot noticed fracture in glider keel.

Pilot attempted to launch from area in turbulence due to strong, gusty winds. Pilot was immediately lifted 15 to 20m into the air where he suffered an asymmetric collapse. The glider then turned and dived into the hill.
