Having reached the top of the tow line the student found he could not release the line. The line was guillotined by the winch driver and the student followed emergency procedure and landed safely. A loose bolt on the release mechanism was found to be the cause.

Pilot took off into turbulent and thermic conditions. Glider suffered a large asymmetric collapse at low level and the pilot was pendulumed into the hillside.

During a XC flight the pilot noticed a problem with his harness just as his parachute fell out and deployed. Main glider down-planed and pilot could not prevent it. 8.7m/s descent rate. Luckily pilot hit lift just as he was about to hit the ground and landed gently on a fence. Bruised leg.

While kiting speed wing up the slope the pilot was lifted by a gust and swung to the side twisting the pilot's knee.

During XC flight the chest buckle of the harness came undone. It had done so the day before and the pilot checked it but problem reoccurred. No obvious reason for buckle failure.

During reverse launch the pilot was lifted off the ground prematurely by a thermic gust and dumped down onto a rock.

Pilot was caught out be very strong sea breeze and could not penetrate into wind. Air became very turbulent and pilot suffered collapse and stall. Pilot crashed into heather covered hillside but was uninjured.
