During Big Fat Repack pilot discovered that the parachute inner container had been connected in such a way that the deployment handle became tight before the pin had released. Parachute had been incorrectly packed. Handle was moved to alternative pin and functioned correctly.

While gliding on full speed bar the pilot had mid air collision with Griffon vulture which became entangled in glider lines. Glider stalled and after attempting to dislodge bird pilot deployed parachute. Bird fell away and pilot landed in 35m pine tree. Pilot climbed down uninjured.
