Pilot was testing an unfamiliar EN C glider. Attempted to pull 'big ears' but ended up stalling the glider. Pilot deployed parachute and impacted cliff side.

On final approach to landing field Pilot flew into strong thermal. Glider was lifted and tipped back. On recovery, glider dived forward and swung pilot and passenger into tree. They fell 6m from tree.

Immediately after launching the pilot discovered the cord from his vario was caught over the spreader bars forcing them together. Pilot was eventually able to release the cord with some difficulty and continued flight.

Pilot launched glider unaware of an asymmetric collapse. Glider veered towards another glider still on the ground and the engine cages collided. Pilot landed with damage to both power units.
