Pilot attempting to launch in light wind conditions did not generate sufficient airspeed during take-off run. Witnesses said nose was too high. Glider stalled and fell over 40ft cliff edge into trees.

Pink undersurface fabric found to be severely degraded by UV during inspection - remainder of the canopy in good condition.

Pilot over shot twice whilst attempting to top land. Following his second attempt the canopy suffered a collapse to the right wing causing it rotate and then dive into the hill.
