Pilot suffered large asymmetric while flying in strong turbulent conditions. The ensuing dive led to a spiral that the pilot could not recover. He deployed his emergency chute and landed safely but was then dragged for 300m. .

During repack deployment handle/bridle combination was of such a length that the emergency chute was still in harness at full extension of pilots arm. Webbing to webbing conection also. Par Avion.

During repack it was discovered that pilot had connected maillon at end of chute bridle to second handle on deployment bag as well as to harness bridles. Impossible to deploy as result.

Pilot experienced severe turbulence causing wing to collapse, probably due to lee side rotor. Pilot landed heavily.
