Using a particular 'cross brake' reverse launch technique, pilot found that the brake line was getting caught in the magnetic keepers for the brake handles. Pilot noted that others had had similar problems. Pilot modified keepers.

Student was on soaring flight under instruction with the intention of maintaining height. At the end of one beat the student continued the turn as if to 360. Instructed to turn away but did not. Student flew into the side of the hill.
