During flight pilot noticed maillon connecting spreader to tandem bar was open and deformed. Though protected by webbing fail safe, pilot and passenger decided to land immediately and did so without incident.

While on final approach and at approx. 10m agl the harness chest buckle came undone making the glider more difficult to control. This was the second occasion this had occurred. Harness taken out of service.

Pilot parked brakes on magnets while getting into seat. During this time one of the brakes became dislodged and was sucked into the prop. Pilot was able to land without incident.
