Pilot took off from knee deep heather in strong conditions. Pilot entered thermal and glider immediately entered spin. Pilot struck rock face at speed. Inspection showed speedbar line had been wrapped around vario prior to take-off.

Pilot misjudged his approach and wingtip clipped a tree causing the glider to turn off the intended path. With insufficient height to make any corrections the pilot landed on the roof of a parked car.

Pilots of similar weights and on same gliders, took off from same site at the same time on top to bottoms. They arrived at the landing area at the same time but due to switching winds, landed in opposite directions. Pilots avoided a collision by 6m.

Whilst walking up the hill with an inflated wing, the emergency parachute inner container inadvertently released from the pilot's Gin Gingo 3 harness, despite the closure pins having been previously checked in their positions.

On approach to landing in strong thermic conditions, the pilot overshot the landing area and applied the controls more deeply intending to steepen the glide path. The pilot then applied full controls to flare and stalled the wing, resulting in a heavy impact with the ground.
