Pilot crashed while attempting ridge run in windy and turbulent conditions. At the time of the crash the wind had increased to 20 plus mph and was significantly off the hill.

On launch the sewn end of a leg strap became entangled in the b/c lines causing a severe turn. Instructor made emergency landing without incident.

After top landing in windy conditions the pilot turned to collapse the glider. At this point a gust came through and lifted the pilot slamming him into a parked 4x4 vehicle.
