Pilot came in to land in nil wind and came in on a fast approach and caught foot on a grass clump, which twisted his leg breaking it just above the boot. Pilot drove himself to hospital. Leg in plaster for 6 weeks.

Pilot lost control of glider at low level while attempting a high banked turn during slalom practice. During the manoeuvre the pilot noticed the left brake handle had become detached from the brake lines. The pilot was unable to regain control and crashed heavily.

Pilot took off wearing a scarf tucked into his flying suit. Scarf became loose and caught in the recoil start mechanism. Engine stopped causing scarf to tighten round pilot's neck. Pilot was able to breath with difficulty and was able to make emergency landing.
