Pilot replaced brake line but forgot to feed it through the bully on the riser. Pilot also had knot in upper lines deforming the glider. Pilot top landed with difficulty using big-ears.

On attempting to release from the towline, pilot found the bridle cord had twisted round the three ring circus release preventing the release from operating. Line was guillotined and pilot eventually managed to untwist and release.

Pilot took off and attempted to soar over trees. Pilot hit sink and crashed into the trees before falling to the ground 30ft below. Pilot used 'what3words" app to help locate having called 999.

Whilst trying to scratch up the face of the terrain, on turning to a down wind beat the glider accelerated to 55 kph. Possibly suffering some rotor from the terrain the ground came up very quickly. The pilot impacted the ground heavily at a shallow angle.
