Pilot had mid-air collision with another paraglider while thermal soaring. The gliders became tangled and the other pilot deployed his parachute. The gliders then separated and the pilot was able to land his glider in the landing field. The other pilot landed in trees under his parachute.

Pilot flew in front of a pair of trees on the slope in order to scratch lift as conditions momentarily lightened. Right wing tip caught uppermost branch of second tree. Too close in slightly turbulent air. Snared wingtip caused glider to spin near the ground.

Pilot clipped the side of the hill while ridge soaring. This spun the glider round, locking off the controls. The glider then turned into the hill at speed.
