On 13th vehicle tow of the day pilot signalled for release, vehicle slowed but canopy accelerated and felt the tow pressure increase suddenly, line broke just past the release and recoiled into pilot's face.

On attempting to release from the towline, pilot found the bridle cord had twisted round the three ring circus release preventing the release from operating. Line was guillotined and pilot eventually managed to untwist and release.

Pilot replaced brake line but forgot to feed it through the bully on the riser. Pilot also had knot in upper lines deforming the glider. Pilot top landed with difficulty using big-ears.
