Pilot entered spiral dive and misjudged remaining height before attemting to exit. Spiral dive had locked in and the pilot could not recover before colliding with cliff face at a shallow angle. The glider returned to normal flight and the pilot top landed.

Student made a good approach to top landing but drifted towards parked cars. On attempting to control the wing on landing the student was dragged into one of the parked cars causing damage to the car.

Pilot put new wires on Atos V glider. Pilot felt glider was not right but could not find fault. Later pilot discovered the sheathing on the new wires on one side was bunched up. It appears the locating sleeve at the bottom of the uprights has not been crimped properly to the wire and has been sliding back and forth, being retained by the plastic sheathing on previous flights.

Pilot noticed that chest strap was undone on LHS of harness 3.5 hours into a closed circuit cross country flight. Upon noticing, pilot flew into calm air and was able to connect the harness strap. The glider had handled normally during the flight until that point. The pilot continued the flight and landed safely.
