BHPA Members Fees

The following table lists BHPA fees that may be incurred by individual members from 1st April 2023.

Two Year Membership (introductory offer) 24 Months	3rd Party Insurance, 24 issues of Skywings Magazine, Full BHPA Membership	£289	An additional £30 Joining Fee must be paid when you join the BHPA.
Flying Member 12 Months	3rd Party Insurance, 12 issues of Skywings Magazine, Full BHPA Membership	£169 (members paying by direct debit will receive an annual discount of £7 on renewal)	An additional £30 Joining Fee must be paid when you join the BHPA. The Joining Fee does not apply to membership renewals where membership has been continuous.
Family Flying Member 12 Months	3rd Party Insurance, Full BHPA Membership	£153 (members paying by direct debit will receive an annual discount of £7 on renewal)	As Flying Member above, except Family Flying Members do not receive their own copy of Skywings magazine, and must live at the same address as the Flying Member in their family.
Flying Concessionary Member (21 and under, or 67 and over) 12 Months	3rd Party Insurance, 12 issues of Skywings Magazine, Full BHPA Membership	£149 (members paying by direct debit will receive an annual discount of £7 on renewal)	As Flying Member above.
Non Flying Member 12 Months	12 issues of Skywings Magazine, 3rd-party insurance (flying is not covered), no voting rights	£62 (members paying by direct debit will receive an annual discount of £7 on renewal)
Trial Membership 3 Months	3rd Party Insurance, 3 issues of Skywings Magazine	£104	An additional £30 Joining Fee must be paid when you join the BHPA.
Adult Day Membership 1 Day	3rd Party Insurance	£29
Under 21 Day Membership 1 Day	3rd Party Insurance	£5
Skywings Magazine Subscription (UK) 12 Months	12 issues of Skywings Magazine	£59	This is already included in some membership categories shown above.
Skywings Magazine Subscription (Overseas) 12 Months	12 issues of Skywings Magazine	Please visit the BHPA shop for overseas subscription rates
Trainee Instructor Insurance Supplement 12 Months	3rd Party Insurance	£30	As this supplement is due on membership renewal, please contact the office for applicable fee.
Instructor Insurance Supplement 12 Months	3rd Party Insurance	£105	As this supplement is due on membership renewal, please contact the office for applicable fee.

Instructor Course		£400	Per person. Cost varies with location.
Senior Coach Course		£400	Per person. Courses are run at a national level at a central location. Cost varies with location.
Senior Instructor Course		£400	Per person. Cost varies with location.
EPSL Course		£400	Per person. Courses are run at a national level at a central location.
Senior Coach Examination (tow & aerotow only)		Free	First examination.
Air Experience Instructor Examination		£150	First examination.
Dual Pilot Examination (UK based only)		£150	First examination. For exams in Europe, please contact the office.
Instructor Re-examination		£150	Re-examination.
Senior Coach Re-examination (tow & aerotow only)		£50	Re-examination.
