Joining the BHPA

 

BHPA Membership

BHPA flying membership costs £84 annually and includes subscription to Skywings (the monthly magazine of the BHPA) and £2 million 3rd-party insurance cover. There are concessions for students in full time education, under 16s and over 60s. Further information is available on our membership fees page.

If you are a complete beginner don't worry too much about the details and various membership options. Your initial Training (£40) or One-day (£10) Membership will be processed by your by your training school. There is no need to join the BHPA before you start training. First see the Learn to Fly section and then find a BHPA training school that best addresses your needs. The school will explain and process your BHPA membership on your first days training.

If you‘d like to join the BHPA as either a fully qualified pilot, or a non-flying member, please download our Membership Form (in PDF format). Please return the completed form to the BHPA Head Office.

BHPA members automatically receive Skywing magazine each month, as part of their membership package. If you‘re not a BHPA member and would like to receive copies of Skywings magazine, please visit our online shop to purchase a Skywings Magazine Subscription.
